Exclusion criteria

• Pregnancy
• Prior lumbar fusion
• Metastatic cancer
• Severe osteoporosis
• Spondylolisthesis (unstable)
• Compression fracture of lumbar spine below L-1. (recent)
• Pars defect
• Pathologic Aortic aneurysm
• Pelvic or abdominal cancer
• Disc space infections
• Severe peripheral neuropathy
• Hemiplegia, paraplegia, or cognitive dysfunction

Negative influences

• Smoking
• Obesity
• Medications: particularly chronic use of narcotics and steroids
• Previous surgery which has a build up of scar tissue
• Inadequate rest during first two weeks of therapy

Axiom Worldwide’s DRX9000 True Non-Surgical Spinal Decompression System^™ is the only device in its class to utilize Danaher-Motion’s Kollmorgan series servo-amplifier / servo-motor precision control system to accomplish the task.

Spinal decompression therapy requires complete relaxation of the paraspinal muscles. Axiom Worldwide’s DRX9000 True Non-Surgical Spinal Decompression System is the only device in its class to utilize Danaher-Motion’s Kollmorgan series servo-amplifier / servo-motor precision control system to accomplish the task. 

Patients receiving spinal decompression therapy on the DRX9000 are secured to a bed through a unique harnessing system. A tensioning strap is connected to the patient harness near the waist. A Kollmorgan servo-amplifier and servomotor control and monitor the tension applied to the patient. A treatment computer and secondary load-monitoring dynamometer complete a closed feedback loop. 

The result is a system capable of delivering absolutely smooth decompression, incredible dynamic response to paraspinal muscle contraction and external variations, and radically improved patient safety.
